Natick Firefighter Still Hospitalized After Fire At Former School
A two-alarm fire at the former St. Patrick's school broke out Thursday afternoon.

NATICK, MA — A Natick firefighter was still hospitalized Friday morning following a two-alarm fire Thursday afternoon at the former St. Patrick's school in the downtown area.
The fire broke out around 4 p.m. Thursday at the vacant East Central Street school. The fire was located in the school's kitchen area, according to WCVB, and extinguished itself. The second alarm was called due to high temperatures.
The injured firefighter was taken to UMass Memorial Hospital in Worcester for a possible fractured sternum, Chief Michael Lentini said Friday morning.

During the St. Patrick's fire, the Professional Firefighters of Massachusetts union published a letter confirming the active duty death of Natick firefighter Jake John Francis Feeney IV. The two incidents are unrelated.
