Natick Gets $600K In Climate Resilience Grant Funding

NATICK, MA — The Town of Natick has received 2 grant awards from the Municipal Vulnerability Preparedness under the current funding cycle. A local only award of $266k was received for design and engineering of a constructed stormwater treatment feature at Dug Pond and a study of the watershed draining to Dug Pond to identify additional stormwater treatment and flood mitigation strategies. A regional award, in partnership with the Charles River Watershed Association, of $330k (over 2 years) was received to further develop flood mitigation concepts at priority sites within the Charles River Watershed, a continuation of the 6 year Charles River Flood Model project. We look forward to continuing the Town's long-standing relationship with the MVP program and further our communities' climate resilience.
