Learn how to prevent opioid overdoses and how to help a loved one who is struggling with addiction.

On Thursday, June 30th, 7:00-9:00 PM at MetroWest Medical Center’s Leonard Morse Hospital (2nd floor Helm Auditorium), Natick Together for Youth (NTY), SOAR Natick (Supporting Our Addicts’ Recovery), and the Town of Natick will present an educational training for individuals and families who are concerned about opioid addiction. Participants in this training will learn: 1) how to reduce the risk of an overdose; 2) how to recognize and respond to an overdose in order to save a life; 3) how to access and administer intranasal Naloxone (also known as Narcan); and 4) what legal protections exist for individuals and families experiencing substance use disorders.

This training is free and open to the general public. Registration is encouraged but not required. Please go to www.NatickTogetherforYouth.org/events for more information or contact Katie Sugarman at 508-647-6623 or csugarman@natickps.org.
