Natick Museum Acquires New Hitler Artifact
The Museum of World War II won a bid on a message sent to Hitler on April 23, 1945, and it'll be part of a new display.

Seven days before Adolf Hitler committed suicide, he received a message from his second-in-command officer, Hermann Goerig. As the Boston Globe reports, the message, indicating that if he did not hear from the then-hiding Hitler, he would take control of the German government.
The Museum of World War II in Natick will add this artifact to its Third Reich display on Tuesday.

Museum founder Kenneth Rendell bought the transcription on July 7 for $55,000, outbidding another from Germany.
The Museum of World War II is “a research and educational institution devoted to preserving and exhibiting the reality of World War II.” The museum has more than 7,000 artifacts on display, more than 500,000 documents and photographs, and research archives.
