Natick Principal: Clown Activity Does Not Pose a Threat to Our Students
Natick High's principal addressed the issue of the clown scare to a concerned student body.

NATICK, MA—Helping to calm the hysteria surrounding the "clown scare" that has struck in ten states and some Massachusetts towns, Natick High School's Principal Brian Harrigan issued a message to the school community.
"I am writing about the concerns raised by our students about threatening clowns in the media and online," he opened. "We take these concerns very seriously as the health and safety of our students always comes first."

Harrigan said the school has worked closely with Natick police to assess the credibility of any threats and related risks to the students and community. Harrigan added that there have been no confirmed sightings of clowns on campus or in the community.
"The threats have been generic in nature and not specific to our community," he wrote. "Therefore, we do not believe the clown activity in the news poses a credible threat to our students."

If anyone should see anything of concern, Harrigan said do not hesitate to speak with Officer Rodriguez or any adult at Natick High School. If it is after hours, do not hesitate to dial 911.
"For the safety of everyone at Natick High School, no one will be allowed on campus at any time wearing a clown costume or a mask of any kind," Harrigan wrote. "As Halloween approaches, we expect everyone to be respectful of others and refrain from wearing clown costumes or anything that obscures your face."
