Natick Resident Begins Key Role at Catholic Schools Office

The Catholic Schools Office (CSO) is proud to announce the addition of Jaime Gaudet as Director of School Improvement Planning. Ms. Gaudet holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Babson College and a master’s degree in history from the University of Massachusetts. She is also licensed by the Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education as a Superintendent/Assistant Superintendent. “We are excited to welcome Jaime to our team and look forward to having her as a point person for our schools to engage in continuous school improvement,” commented Superintendent Kathy Mears.

As a lifelong dancer, Gaudet spent much of her time teaching and coaching dance before making the leap into education. Her varied background includes youth development and program implementation in various capacities as well as working for multiple nonprofits — including the Institute for Community Inclusion and the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society — which sparked her passion for being of service to others.

Prior to her role at the CSO, Gaudet was the director of admissions at Marian High School in Framingham. Gaudet said she felt a sense of belonging from the first moment she stepped foot into Marian High School. “I loved working at Marian over the past three years and it really drove home the importance of the Catholic school model that is focused on being useful to society,” stated Gaudet. During her time at the school she saw firsthand the value of a Catholic education and is keenly aware of the difficult job ahead of her as she embarks on this new role at the CSO.

When asked about her primary goal, Gaudet immediately focused on one word: collaboration. “Everyone at the CSO has a team mentality and I want to encourage that within our schools. By coming together and finding commonalities, we can strengthen our schools as a whole,” she said. The closing of Marian High School this past year brought home the fact that great schools need resources in place to support them. Gaudet is hoping that her new role will allow her to be that valuable resource that schools need.
