Natick Singer Stacey Peasley Partners With Nonprofit Cocotree Kids
The singer will collect new underwear to donate to children across Massachusetts at all upcoming performances.

NATICK, MA — A beloved Natick singer and local nonprofit will team up to make sure kids in need will be able to get one of the most important items of clothing: underwear.
Singer Stacey Peasley and the nonprofit organization Cocotree kids have announced a partnership that will see the singer collect new underwear at her upcoming shows to be donated to kids across Massachusetts.
"I am so proud to be partnering with this wonderful organization that is helping so many children in Massachusetts to have the dignity they deserve," said Peasley.

"I invite families who attend any future performances to bring new pairs of children's underwear to my shows. Financial donations are also welcome. This is a great opportunity for children to be involved in charitable giving with their grown up, as well."
The partnership sees Peasley, a veteran in the family performance space, partner with a relative upstart in Cocotree, which was founded in May 2021.

"We are honored that Stacey Peasley has chosen to support our mission by encouraging her audiences to bring packs of underwear or donating at her upcoming shows, so we can continue to provide to those in need in our community," said Catherine Maloy, Executive Director of Cocotree Kids.
"It’s inspiring to see children caring for other children, and we look forward to spreading the word about Cocotree Kids to Stacey’s audience of young children and adults."
Peasley is a childhood music educator now in her 30th year of performing. She has five award-winning albums out for kids and families and is releasing her sixth album, "Play in My Band!", this year.
Cocotree Kids serves families experiencing homelessness, extreme financial hardship and domestic violence. They have also provided aid to children in hospitals who have faced crisis situations, refugee children who have recently relocated to area communities and students facing poverty.
Their mission to provide underwear to children may not be at the top of mind for those seeking to donate, but its importance can't be questioned.
"Underwear is one of the most needed but least donated items because it needs to be new, unlike shoes, clothes and toys," Cocotree officials said, in a statement to Patch.
The organization has distributed over 45,000 pairs of underwear to underserved youth in the state since 2021.
