No Natick 4th Of July Fireworks, Parade In 2023

NATICK, MA — Natick's Friends of the 4th organization is traditionally responsible for organizing any town 4th of July events.

In 2023, the group will not be doing that, it announced recently.

This will be the fourth consecutive year that Natick won't host a parade or fireworks display over the 4th of July.

"After a lot of thought, community polling, and discussion, the Board of Directors of the Friends of the 4th will not be fundraising or organizing a parade or other activities in 2023," the organization announced in a social media statement.

"We encourage everyone to attend any 4th of July event that another committee or group organizes to celebrate the holiday."

In another report about the news, WBZ spoke with Natick locals who were torn about the lack of 4th of July events in 2023, with some saying they feel the town is missing out and others noting that they plan to attend events elsewhere.
