NATICK, MA — Natick's Friends of the 4th organization is traditionally responsible for organizing any town 4th of July events.

In 2023, the group will not be doing that, it announced recently.

"After a lot of thought, community polling, and discussion, the Board of Directors of the Friends of the 4th will not be fundraising or organizing a parade or other activities in 2023," the organization announced in a social media statement.

"We encourage everyone to attend any 4th of July event that another committee or group organizes to celebrate the holiday."
