Small Fire Breaks Out At Walnut Hill School

NATICK, MA — A small fire broke out Sunday night inside a closet at the Walnut Hill School, according to the Natick Fire Department.

The fire was reported just before 10 p.m. when the school's fire alarm sounded. Firefighters found a small blaze burning in a closet that housed networking equipment.

Firefighters were able to put the fire out quickly, but did have to ventilate the closet to let smoke out.

Like all other schools in Massachusetts, Walnut Hill has been closed due to coronavirus and won't reopen until fall at the earliest.
