Natick, MA – October 20, 2017 – Students, families, and supporters of Natick High School and Wellesley High School came together and raised $3,279.00 during Team Up for St. Jude Spirited by Varsity – Game Day, a spirit week created to support the lifesaving mission of St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital®. A group of students led the fans to support St. Jude by hosting a GOLD OUT in the stands on Friday, Oct. 20, and encouraged participation in special activities throughout the week.
The students raise money by hosting multiple bake sales leading up to the event and spread awareness through the morning announcements about St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. They also recruited sponsorship by selling ABC’s of Cancers to make a mock ABC of Cancer Wall which was displayed at the game. The fundraising was capped off at Friday night’s game where they asked all attendees to come together and help them get closer to reaching their $5,000.00 goal for the kids of St. Jude.
