20-Foot Roof Fall, Fraud: Needham Police Log
The following is from the Needham Police Log. Arrests and charges mentioned don't imply conviction.

January 17
4:42 p.m. - An officer was dispatched to a High Rock Street residence to take a report of fraud. The reporting party received a letter from a retail outlet stating that the reporting party had applied for a credit card account. The reporting party states that she did not apply for any credit card through this company. This matter is under investigation.
January 18

1:40 p.m. - An officer stopped a motor vehicle on Dedham Avenue at Grant Street for impeded operation. The operator was looking down at what appeared to be a cell phone. The operator stated he was using the GPS feature on the phone. As a result of the traffic stop, a 33-year-old man from Everett was issued a summons for unlicensed operation and impeded operation (mobile phone).
4:30 p.m. - An officer responded to a Grove Street address for a worker that had fallen off of a roof. Needham Fire also responded and treated the victim at the scene. It appeared the victim had fallen approximately 20 feet from the roof. OSHA was contacted.

January 19
4:30 p.m. - An Officer responded to a report of fraud at a West Street residence. The victim was deceived into giving an unidentified party $1,100 under false pretense. The matter is under investigation.
January 20
7:15 a.m. - An officer observed a black pickup truck with no rear license plate. A motor vehicle stop was made and after subsequent investigation, an 18-year-old Canton man will be summoned to Dedham District for unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, attaching plates, unregistered motor vehicle, uninsured motor vehicle, no inspection sticker and prohibited u-turn.
11:13 a.m. - An officer responded to a Sunnyside Road address for a report of identity fraud. The resident informed that there have been multiple incidents in the last year and a half where someone has attempted to open credit accounts in the resident's name. The resident has already taken the necessary steps to protect their identity, such as placing a fraud alert on their credit report, but wanted the matter documented.
