2014 State Election: The Needham Ballot and Voting Information

Here is your information for the state election held on Tuesday, Nov. 4.

On Tuesday, Nov. 4, Needham will not only cast votes for governor and attorney general, but its state senator and county commissioner.

While offices for state representative and U.S. representative are unopposed, Needham will choose between Republican Richard Ross and Democrat Dylan Hayre for state senator.

Needham has 4 ballot questions.
Q1 Eliminate Gas Tax indexing
Q2 Expand Beverage Container Deposit Law
Q3 Expand prohibitions on gaming (repeal of portions of the casino gaming law)
Q4 Earned sick time for employees

PRECINCT C - Newman School – 1155 Central Avenue
PRECINCT D - Newman School – 1155 Central Avenue
PRECINCT E - Broadmeadow School – 120 Broadmeadow Rd.

As a review, 5 polling locations were changed by the Board of Selectmen last spring in time for the Annual Town Election. All households with voters were notified by mail. However, here is a gentle reminder…..

For those voters in PRECINCT A and B who used to vote at the Hillside School – YOU NOW VOTE AT THE CENTER AT THE HEIGHTS, 300 Hillside Avenue. There are some parking restraints, however, there is also parking on the street.

For those voters in PRECINCT C and D you still vote at the NEWMAN SCHOOL, 1155 Central Avenue.

For those voters in PRECINCT E who used to vote at the Pollard Middle School –YOU NOW VOTE AT THE BROADMEADOW SCHOOL, 120 Broad Meadow Road.

For those voters in PRECINCT F who used to vote at the old Senior Center on Pickering Street – YOU NOW VOTE AT THE NEEDHAM HIGH SCHOOL – GYM. ******** Please note that entrance should be made off Kingsbury Street onto Admiral Gracey Way up in front of the High School. Go all the way to the left and enter the door near the gym. Turn left into Gym B for voting. Parking should be easier for this election as there is no school on Tuesday, November 4, 2014.

For those voters in PRECINCT G who used to vote at the Broadmeadow School - YOU NOW VOTE AT THE NEEDHAM HIGH SCHOOL - GYM. Please note that entrance should be made off Kingsbury Street onto Admiral Gracey Way up in front of the High School. Go all the way to the left and enter the door near the gym. Turn left into Gym B for voting. Parking should be easier for this election as there is no school on Tuesday, Nov. 4.

For voters in PRECINCT H you still vote at the BROADMEADOW SCHOOL, 120 Broad Meadow Road

For voters in PRECINCT I AND J you still vote at the WILLIAM MITCHELL SCHOOL, 187 Brookline Avenue.

Polling places will open at 7 a.m. and stay open until 8 p.m. Voters actually in line at 8 p.m. will be allowed to vote.
