2018 Needham Town Election: Here's Who's Running For Office

The annual election will be held April 10.

NEEDHAM, MA — There will be a contested race at the top of the ballot for this year's Needham Town Election.

Selectmen John Bulian and Maurice Handel are both running for reelection, while Byron Doerfer is running to join the board. Both Bulian and Handel are longtime members of the board, with Bulian joining in 2003 and Handel first getting elected in 2009. Doerfer, a 26-year-old, has not held public office before but said in the League of Women Voters of Needham Voter's Guide that he hopes to bring fresh eyes to the table.

School committee members Heidi Black and Susan Neckes will run uncontested.

Planning board member Elizabeth Grimes will not have an opponent on the ballot.
