3 Issued Violations for Smoking Pot; Arrest for B&E in Wellesley; Larceny at Oxbow Road Residence
The Needham PD supplied the following information. Where arrests or charges are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction.

Friday, Sept. 5
- At 9:54 a.m., police responded to Fairfield Road for a report of an unknown man in the house. It was an error.
- At 5:07 p.m., police made a stop on Elder Road. The vehicle had no insurance. AS a result, it was towed and the operator, a 61-year-old Newton man, was summonsed to court for operating a vehicle with no insurance, a revoked registration and for failing to secure the truck’s load.
- At 6:02 p.m., police responded to the area of Highland Ave. in the Heights for a report of occupants of a vehicle smoking marijuana. Police stopped the car on Central Ave. and the three occupants were issued by law violations for possession of less than one ounce of marijuana.
Saturday, Sept. 6
- At 4:38 a.m., police responded to the intersection of 2nd Avenue and Highland Ave. for a report of a hit and run accident involving a traffic signal. The signal was in flash mode and there was minor damage to one of the signals. Mass. Highway was contacted.
- At 10 a.m., a Needham man was arrested for B&E, which had occurred in Wellesley the day before. Dmitry Denikin of Needham was arrested and charged with B&E.
- At 12:32 p.m., police responded to an Oxbow Road residence for a report of past larceny. The resident said that items were stolen from the house during a recent renovation.
- At 3:30 p.m., a female Norfolk Street resident report a fraudulent call that solicited her personal information to better secure her ATM card.
