5,000 Books Will be on Sale at Library Saturday

For an event that is considered a smaller one by Friends of the Needham Library, many may believe that there certainly are a lot of books available for Saturday's book sale.

Despite not carting out the library's entire stock, the Friends' Book Sale on Aug. 7 will feature roughly 5,000 books, as well as other forms of media.

"(It) is one of our mini-sales," said Gloria Welter of the Friends of the Needham Public Library. "It is only four hours, 9 a.m. to 1 p.m."

Avid readers will find a large selection of children's books in hard cover and paperback format, in addition to hard cover, large format and small paperback fiction books. All items in this group are 50 cents apiece.

CDs, videos and non-fiction books will also be on sale and additional bargains can be found close to the circulation desk.

"In the on-going book sale, all the better books will be half the marked price," Welter said.
