Alert Neighbor Lead Police to Arrest B&E Suspect

Police have arrested a person suspected of breaking into two houses in town.

Needham police have arrested a Brockton man suspected of breaking in to two houses in Needham.

On Aug. 11, at approximately 2:45 p.m., Needham police responded to Dedham Avenue on a report of suspicious activity.

An alert neighbor reported an unknown vehicle backed into a neighbor’s driveway. The vehicle left prior to the neighbor calling. The neighbor gave some crucial information regarding the description of the vehicle, a description of the driver, a license plate number, and a photo of the suspect vehicle.

Officers determined that two houses had been broken into in the area. The information provided by the witness, combined with further police investigation, led to an arrest warrant being issued for 33-year-old Kenneth Molloy of Brockton, for two counts of Breaking and Entering.

On the morning of Aug. 13, Molloy was spotted in Raynham by the Raynham Police. He was arrested on the Needham warrant and turned over to the Needham Police.
