• Needham Police Use 'At Risk Residents' Binder To Support Community (patch.com) — Needham police are using a new “At Risk Residents” binder to give officers and dispatchers crucial information about locals who need extra support, from medical issues to communication needs. Nearly 60 Needham residents are already listed, helping responders approach calls with more context, compassion, and tailored care. The department plans to review and update the binder annually.    

• Underground electrical fire disrupts downtown (needhamobserver.com) — Downtown Needham was shut down for more than two hours Saturday morning after smoke from manholes signaled an underground electrical issue near the Town Common. Fire and police blocked all roads into the center, evacuating several nearby businesses while Eversource investigated failing underground cables. No outages were reported, but temporary power impacts are possible during upcoming repairs.
