Assault And Battery, Larceny: Needham Police Log

February 28

4:00 a.m. - An officer responded to a report of an unresponsive party at the wheel of a heavily damaged vehicle. The vehicle was parked but running at a Greendale Ave. address. The operator, Sean Hynes, 43 of Quincy, was found to be intoxicated, placed under arrest, and charged with operating under the influence of liquor.

7:00 a.m. - Officers responded to a Charles River Landing apartment for a report of stolen property. The matter is under investigation.

11:00 a.m. - An officer responded to a Highland Avenue business for a report of shoplifting. As a result of an investigation, a 46 year old Needham resident was issued a summons for shoplifting. The suspect was also trespassed from the property. The shoplifted items were returned to store stock.

10:30 p.m. - An officer responded to a 2nd Avenue apartment building for a noise complaint. The complaint is still under investigation.

March 1

9:45 a.m. - An officer responded to a Gould Street address for a report of a motor vehicle accident. Information was exchanged and there was no issue.

10:30 a.m. - An officer responded to a Gould Street address for a report of a larceny. The matter is under investigation.

5:00 p.m. - An officer stopped a motor vehicle for an equipment violation. The operator did not have a valid driver's license. The Aldrin Rivera, 21, of Waltham, was arrested and charged with unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle.

5:55 p.m. - An officer was dispatched to a Chestnut Street business for a report of a suspicious male who had since left. No vehicle information could be provided.


March 2

5:00 p.m. - An officer responded to a Highland Avenue business for a report of lost property. The Information was documented and reported to CJIS.


March 3

10:13 a.m. - An officer was dispatched to a Highland Ave business for a report of a fight between two co-workers. After officers spoke with all involved parties, a 22-year-old woman from Roslindale was issued a summons for assault and battery and threatening to to commit a crime.
