Bakers' Best to Focus on Catering Side
Popular Newton Highlands cafe will operate from its Needham commissary.
The popular Newton cafe , announced plans yesterday to sell its Newton Highlands location and move on to bigger ventures in its catering business, which is based in Needham.
According to a press release issued yesterday by the cafe, the owners of Bakers' Best wish to focus on their full-service catering, which makes up 85 percent of the company's sales.
“This was one of the most difficult decisions that I’ve ever made” stated Michael Baker, owner and founder of the company. “Our plans to restructure are not the results of financial strain or floundering sales. Frankly, that would have made the decision easier.”
