Bank In Needham Robbed

This is the first bank robbery in Needham since 2015, according to reports.

NEEDHAM, MA — A bank in Needham was robbed Monday morning, police confirmed.

At about 10:05 a.m., Needham Police responded to a bank robbery at the Citizen's Bank on Chapel Street. Police say the suspect left the area and they are actively investigating.

Needham Police Lt. Chris Baker told the Needham Times that the suspect, a 6-foot-3-inch-tall, dark-skinned man wearing dark clothing and a hooded sweatshirt, passed a note to a teller demanding money.

There is no safety concern, police said.

The FBI is assisting with the investigation, police said.
