BB Gun Waiving, Kitchen Fire and More: Needham Police Log

May 1

10:30 p.m. - An officer stopped a vehicle on Highland Avenue near Hunting Road. Following a traffic stop and brief investigation the owner of the vehicle, a 32-year-old Attleboro woman, was summoned to court for allowing unlicensed operation and allowing operation on a revoked registration.

4:30 p.m. - A resident of Great Plain Ave reported identity theft and fraudulent activity with a credit card. A police report was filed.

5:30 p.m. - An officer responded to the area of Central Avenue and River Park Street for a report of a party waving what appeared to be a handgun. Officer determined that the suspected handgun was a BB gun. A hearing for breach of the peace will be set up for the Needham juvenile.

10:50 p.m. - An officer responded to a Dunbarton Road address for a report of suspicious telephone calls. The resident reported receiving possible scam phone calls soliciting for donations to a veteran's charity. No money was exchanged and the resident was informed to contact the police department if they received further phone calls.

May 3

9:30 a.m. - An Edgewater Drive resident reported that someone made some unauthorized charges on his account. The bank has canceled the card and is investigating.

2:00 p.m. - A resident of Richdale Road reported she was missing two rings. Needham Police are investigating.

10:00 p.m. - An officer responded to assist Needham Fire on a report of a kitchen fire at a Morton Street residence.
