Bias-Based Symbol Discovered And More: Needham Police Log

October 27

5:50 p.m. - An officer pulled a vehicle over on Carey Road. After a brief investigation, the owner, a 48-year-old Needham resident, was issued a summons for operating an uninsured motor vehicle (subsequent offense), operating a with revoked registration (subsequent offense), and failure to display two license plates when required. The vehicle was towed from the scene.

8:45 p.m. - An officer stopped a vehicle on Great Plain Avenue near the Interstate 95 bridge. The operator, a 33 year-old Springfield man, was cited and issued a summons for operating with a suspended license. A friend came and picked up the operator and the vehicle.

1:45 p.m. - An employee from a church on Greendale Avenue came to the station to report vandalism. He stated that he found a bias based symbol scratched on their signpost in front of the Church. He found it on Oct. 26. It was only about 3 inches tall and very hard to see. He has painted it over. It is unknown how long it was there before it was noticed. A sector car was sent to check the property. No other graffiti was found.
