BID-Needham Receives Top Quality And Safety Rating

Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital–Needham earned a five star rating from the federal Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services.

NEEDHAM, MA — Beth Israel Deaconess-Needham earned the top rating from the federal Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services. The hospital received five-out-of-five stars from the annual quality and safety assessment. The assessment looks at more than 4,500 hospitals across the country.

CMS created the Five-Star Quality Rating in 2016 to help consumers, families and caregivers make decisions about where to get care and to encourage hospitals to improve the quality of care they provide.

“This Hospital Compare designation reflects the outstanding work of our team of clinicians and employees who are all dedicated to patient care of the safest and highest quality possible,” said John M. Fogarty, president of BID Needham. “Their commitment is seen each and every day, and I’m proud that it has been recognized with these national measures of patient quality and safety.”
