Minuteman Superintendent Edward Bouquillon told the Boston Globe that the current 40-year-old high school in Lexington is in need of major repair and reconfiguration. The new building will be designed to create an academy structure, he said.
Opponents of the project say the school is already too expensive and will only increase with this new project.
