Join us Sunday from 12:00 - 1:30 PM for a fun and entertaining introduction to archery and reconnect with your inner Katniss or Robin Hood.&nbsp;
All coaching and equipment is provided by our team of instructors who will have you laughing, smiling and maybe even weeping with tears of joy as you strike the bull's eye and relive all those childhood memories of archery - or create new ones for the first time.

Valeriy Pecheykin’s play&nbsp;Beethoven is an ​Ode to Silence, directed by guest artist Yana Gladkikh. Featuring Beethoven’s classical work as well as original music composed and performed by Boston’s Sarah Infini Takagi.&nbsp;
Following two sold out runs, Beethoven returns, still&nbsp;performed in Russian, now with English subtitles. 8 performances only from May 1-10.&nbsp;This is a special fundraising project benefitting Arlekin Players Theatre.
Cast: Irina Bordian, Jenya Brodskaia, Polina Dubovikova, Anna Furman, Rimma Gluzman, Gene Ravvin, Elizabeth Sarytchev, Julia Shikh, Sarah Infini Takagi, Misha Tyutyunik and Irina Vilenchik.

The Congregational Church of Needham, UCC

On Saturday, 5/16/ from 9:00 - 1:00, the Needham Garden Club will host its annual Plant Sale outside of the Needham Congregational Church (1154 Great Plain Avenue, Needham). The sale will feature native plants which are hearty for our region and many plants from members' gardens, including sun and shade perennials, grasses, herbs and ferns. Parking for the event is in the rear of the building across from the Post Office.
Proceeds from the sale help sponsor educational programs in horticulture and floral design at the Needham Library; Garden Therapy sessions at local assisted living and nursing homes; a college scholarship for a Needham Senior planning to study biology, horticulture, conservation or environmental science; as well as plantings and maintenance of community garden spaces around town. With the proceeds from last year's sale, we were also able to support the Needham High School Environmental Club and the Needham Community Farm.

Passion, politics, and pulse-pounding rhythm collide! Martín Palmeri’s “Misatango” electrifies the Latin Mass with fiery Argentinian “new tango,” blending chorus, bandoneón, and strings in a bold, emotional ride that has energized audiences on several continents. By embedding tango’s harmonic language, rhythms, and melodic designs in the orchestra, Palmeri frees the chorus to simply “sing the Mass”, plunging the audience into a world of uplifting emotions, passion, and syncopation.
Opening the concert is Lamentations of the Prophet Jeremiah by Alberto Ginastera, an intense work written in exile in 1946. Setting Latin texts from the Book of Lamentations and with dissonant harmonies, jagged rhythms, and stark contrasts, Ginasteri’s music expresses profound sorrow and spiritual desolation.
Adding to the verve of the Latin American program are scintillating dance performances by Boston-based tangueros, curated by bandoneonist Alex Roitman and accompanied by a tango instrumental ensemble.
