“Regenerative Gardening in Today’s World”

Event Details

Needham Free Public Library, 1139 Highland Ave, Needham, MA, 02494

Trevor Smith, an award-winning regenerative landscape designer and a principal of CFS Regenerative Design Studios, will discuss practices that climate change has brought to home gardening: planting native species to preserve biodiversity, combatting invasive species, building healthy soils, installing green infrastructure and managing water. The program will follow a very brief Friends’ Annual Meeting on June 7, 2026 at 2:00 p.m. at the Needham Free Public Library.

Mr. Smith is the founder of ReEarth Solutions, a Boston-area ecological landscape design practice. He is passionate about the natural world which inspires his commitment to sustainable landscaping practices in an era of climate change. He is also passionate about sharing his knowledge and experience and is the host of the podcast “Peace, Love & Pollinators;” the live, online, “ask the expert” event Tuesdays with Trevor; and the Hive-Mind for Business Owners, a program of the Ecological Landscape Alliance.

The public is invited to this free program presented by the Friends of the Needham Public Library in the Library’s Community Room at 1139 Highland Avenue, Needham, from 2-3:30 PM, Sunday, June 7. A question-and answer period will follow the presentation.

Seats are limited and registration is required. Register at https://needhamlibrary.org/events/. For more information, please contact Gay Ellen Dennett, program specialist, at gdennett@minlib.net, 781-455-7559 x223.
