Car Flees After Striking Bike, Package Theft: Needham Police Log
The following is from the Needham Police Log. Arrests and charges mentioned don't imply conviction.

February 21
11:00 a.m. - Needham Police responded to Great Plain Avenue for a single vehicle crash into a pole. The van was operated by a 65-year-old Waltham resident who was driving with a Needham resident. Both parties were taken to the Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center - Needham. A complaint for reckless operation of a motor vehicle was filed in Dedham District Court.

February 22
10:50 a.m. - An officer was dispatched to the intersection of Central Avenue and Hunnewell Street to investigate a report of a bicycle versus car. A vehicle cut off a bike. The tandem bicycle swerved and lost control. The two bicyclists were transported for the injuries. The operator left the scene.

12:00 p.m. - An officer initiated a traffic stop on Greendale Avenue. The operator, Ignacio Solis, 51, of Northfield, New Hampshire, was arrested for operating a motor vehicle without a mandated interlock device.
3:45 p.m. - An officer was dispatched to a Highland Avenue business for report of a past assault in. The involved parties and witnesses stated there was no assault and it was only a verbal altercation. There are no charges being pursued at this time.
5:00 p.m. - An officer responded to a Woodbine Circle address for the report of package theft. The reporting parties and the officer were able to identify in the individual in question. A 57-year-old Westwood woman was issued a summons for larceny under $250 and trespassing.
February 23
9:45 a.m . - An officer stopped a vehicle on Highland Avenue for an expired inspection sticker. The operator, a 55-year-old Newton man, was issued a summons for possessing forged RMV documents.
An officer spoke with an RTS employee who said people are taking items out of the Goodwill donation trailer. He said that he would post information stating the items are for donation only and can't be removed.
11:45 a.m. - An officer took a walk-in report of a past incident of fraud. The reporting party stated that she was convinced to send several gift cards to an unknown party for a total of $2,000. The matter is under investigation.
