Car vs. Bike, Fake Cash, And More: Needham Police Log

August 30

11:30 a.m. - An officer responded to the intersection of Hillside Avenue and Hunnewell Street for a report of a crash involving a bicyclist and a motor vehicle. The cyclist refused transport to the hospital.

12:30 p.m. - A walk-in at the police station reported that while driving earlier they struck a pedestrian at the intersection of Warren and Great Plain Avenue. According to the reporting party, the pedestrian got up, walked away, and refused to talk with him.

7:20 p.m. - An officer responded to a Hillside Avenue address for a possible intoxicated party. The ensuing investigation resulted in a 31-year-old Needham man being placed into protective custody.

A walk-in party from Henderson Street reported their bike was stolen from Needham High School. The school resource officer was notified and the case is under investigation.

7:00 p.m. - A Tillitson Road resident reported their son's bicycle was stolen within the last 24 hours. This is currently under investigation.

August 31

10:00 a.m. - An officer received a phone call from the manager of a Highland Avenue business that they received counterfeit bills. The incident is under investigation.
