Child Struck By Car, Stolen Laptop, And More: Needham Police Log

October 10

A Marked Tree Road resident reported that she was the victim of a computer scam. The incident is under investigation.

A boys Trek mountain bike was stolen from Needham High School parking lot.

October 12

9:20 a.m. - An officer and Needham Fire were dispatched to Volante Farms for a reported child struck by a motor vehicle. The child was transported to Newton-Wellesley Hospital with an apparent minor injury.

12:30 p.m. - An officer responded to the Needham Public Library for a report of a woman who had taken a fall and struck her head. The 56-year-old Boston woman was intoxicated and was taken into protective custody. She was transported to Beth Israel Needham.

A Wyoming Avenue resident reported that a laptop was stolen from his house. The matter is under investigation.

October 13

Needham Housing reported that someone installed fake cameras on the property.

5:38 p.m. - An officer responded to a Fairfield Street residence for a report of found property believed to be marijuana. It was taken back to the station for destruction.

October 14

6:30 pm. - A Hillside Avenue resident came to the police station to report that his identification had been used to secure three different services. The resident didn't use any of these services. The resident is expected to dispute the charges.
