Cops: Person Breaks In, Throws Up, Steals Key; OUI Arrest; Stolen Flowers

Friday, Aug. 1
At 11:04 p.m., police stopped a car on Dedham Ave. for operating with defective equipment. Needham ran the registration, which came back revoked due to insurance cancellation. It was also discovered that one of the passengers had a warrant for her arrest. Portia Roberts, 24, 72 Draper St., Apt. 3, Dorchester, was placed under arrest.
Saturday, Aug. 2
At 1:48 a.m., police saw a black sedan traveling on Highland Ave., and the sedan went through a red light without breaking. After a traffic stop at the intersection, the operator, Nicholas Fortini, 28, 360 Beale St., Quincy, was arrested and charged with operating while under the influence of alcohol. At 7:24 a.m., police responded to Fremont Street for a report of past breaking and entering to a commercial building (Scanlon Tree). The person who reported the incident said that at sometime during the night, someone entered the building and triggered the alarm and vomited in the bathroom. No damage was discovered, but a key was taken.At 3:30 p.m., a Walnut Street resident reported that someone has ben cutting flowers in her yard. This has happened numerous times over the past couple of weeks. At 12:50 a.m., police responded to Dedham Ave. at Webster Street for a report of a motor vehicle crash involving a bicyclist. The cyclist was transported to the hospital. At 6:35 p.m., police responded to Cabot Street for a report of past hit and run. The woman stated that her car was hit by a car parked next to her and the operator fled the scene
