Coronavirus: Needham Update On COVID-19
The Town has been notified by the state of a confirmed case of COVID-19 in a Needham resident.

The Town has been notified by the state of a confirmed case of COVID-19 in a Needham resident. The resident has been quarantined and does not pose a risk to the public. There is currently no evidence of community spread in Needham and there is no evidence of exposure in Town or school buildings. The risk of COVID-19 remains low.

While the risk of COVID-19 remains low in Needham, out of an abundance of caution the Town is taking several measures:
- Needham Public Health is cancelling all non-essential Town-sponsored events and gatherings for at least the next 30 days;
- Needham Public Health is cancelling all non-essential, non-Town sponsored events occurring on Town property for at least the next 30 days;
- The Center at the Heights was closed on March 11, 2020;
- Needham Public Health is advising all event organizers to cancel or postpone any large public events for at least 30 days and advises them to monitor updated guidance from the state Department of Public Health and the CDC;
- Needham Public Health is encouraging Needham-based businesses to cancel or postpone non-essential employee meetings and all travel, in line with the guidance provided by Governor Baker.
