Council Seeks to Make the Season Special for Teenagers
The Needham Community Council distributes holiday gifts to the 210 families that are served by the Food Pantry.

From the Food Pantry at the Needham Community Council:
As parents, we are especially sensitive to the needs and desires of young people around the holidays. Many residents who live right here in Needham have limited financial resources to provide their families with holiday gifts. The Needham Community Council distributes new gifts to the 210 families that are served by the Food Pantry (including 72 children under 12 years of age and 40 teenagers). Generous Needham residents donate these gift items. However, the donated gifts that the Council receives are not always geared to teenagers.
We are asking for your help to assist the Needham Community Council in providing appropriate gifts for the 40 teenagers that are served by the Food Pantry. Suggested gifts include lounging pants for pjs, slippers, music items, costume jewelry, warm winter hats, gloves and scarves. We welcome your ideas; maybe the teenager in your family can assist you in coming up with some desirable gift ideas.
Each teen holiday gift bag also includes a gift card: Amazon, ITUNES, Marshalls, TJMAXX, etc., which is either donated or purchased by The Council with donated funds.

Financial donations are welcome as well; please write "teen holiday gift" in the memo line of a check or donate online at the Council’s secure site at www.needhamcommunitycouncil.org and click on the “donate” button at the top right of the homepage. Please select teen holiday as the fund when making your donation.
Thank you in advance for joining us in making the holiday season a special time for all Needham teens.
