UPDATE: Crash at Nehoiden & Meadowbrook Results in OUI Arrest

The women arrested had minutes earlier fled the scene of another accident.

The Needham Fire Department responded to Nehoiden St. and Meadowbrook Rd. Tuesday evening for a motor vehicle crash, but no one was seriously hurt, according to Deputy Fire Chief Al Delulio.

The accident occurred around 9 p.m. and involved two vehicles. Needham's ambulance transported "one patient with minor injuries," said Delulio, to Beth Israel Hospital Needham.

The operator of the other vehicle, identified as 48-year-old Lisa Hendrix of Medfield, matched a description of a woman who had fled the scene of a property damage crash on Highland Ave. minutes before.

According to a release issued by Needham PD, Hendrix told officers that she was not in need of medical attention. As she spoke, officers noted a "strong odor of alcohol" emanating from her breath, that she was unsteady on her feet and that her eyes were bloodshot and glassy, and her speech slurred.

Hendrix was asked to perform a field sobriety test, which she subsequently failed. She was then arrested and charged with operating a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol, negligent operation of a motor vehicle and leaving the scene of property damage.
