Cyclist In Needham Hospitalized After Hit-And-Run
Charges are pending upon completion of the investigation, police said.

NEEDHAM MA — A biker was taken to the hospital after being struck by a car in Needham Tuesday afternoon.
At 1:40 p.m., police and firefighters in Needham received a report of a vehicle that struck a cyclist near Central Avenue and Belevue Road and left the scene. A witness followed the vehicle into Newton, where officers were able to pull the vehicle over and question the driver, identified as a 70-year-old from Dover.
The bicyclist was treated at the scene and transported to Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston with a head injury. The victim was conscious at the scene.
