December Home Maintenance To Do's
Winter is coming, but there still are a few critical items homeowners should take care of, inside and out.
December 21st marks the official start of winter. While holiday festivities flood our calendars there still are a few critical items homeowners should take care of, inside and out. If you find you do not have enough time to complete the tasks below, Broad Meadow Farms Home Concierge has several offerings and will gladly complete them on your behalf.
Our top DECEMBER HOME MAINTENANCE TASKS as follows:
- Before freezing temperatures set in, shut off outdoor valves and drain the faucets. If needed, insulate outdoor faucets with a cover for added protection. Garden hoses should also be disconnected and drained.
- Wipe down outdoor furniture, stack and store to protect it from the elements.
- Put up holiday decorations.
- Check all windows and doors for cold air drafts, add weather stripping or door sweeps where needed.
- Check and clean all indoor air humidifiers.
- Clean and vacuum dryer ducts.
- Check fire extinguisher pressure, restock batteries and lightbulbs.
