Disorderly Conduct, Car Break-in, and More: Needham Police Log

The following is from the Needham Police Department. Arrests and charges mentioned don't imply conviction.

May 25

2:20 a.m. - Officers responded the Sheraton Hotel on Cabot Street for a report of a disturbance. The parties involved were separated, spoken with and agreed to avoid each other for the remainder of the evening.

10:00 a.m. - A Randolph resident reported that his car was broken into. The reporting party stated his car was parked at his son's house on Greendale Avenue at the time of the theft. The theft occurred sometime between 6:00 p.m. and 1:00 a.m. on May 7. Numerous items were taken from the interior of the car. The car was undamaged.

2:00 p.m. - An officer was dispatched to Pollard Middle School for a report of illegal dumping in a private dumpster. Several individuals were observed dumping a number of mattresses into the dumpster.

4:30 p.m. - An officer responded to a Cabot Street business for a report of fraud. The reporting party advised that a person had attempted to fraudulently gain funds for another person. The incident is currently under investigation.

4:30 p.m. - A walk-in to the station to reported that he was almost a victim of check fraud. The matter is under investigation.

May 27

1:00 a.m. - An officer responded to a Highland Avenue business for the report of a cab driver having trouble with his patrons. One of the patrons refused to come to a compromise with the driver. She became combative towards the driver and responding Officers. A Needham woman was placed under arrest for disorderly conduct, resisting arrest, and taxi fare evasion.

1:30 a.m. - An officer stopped a vehicle near the intersection of Central and Great Plain Avenues intersection. The operator, a 27 yr old male, was cited and will be summoned to Dedham District Court for revoked registration, uninsured motor vehicle and expired inspection. The driver and his passenger were provided a courtesy transport and the vehicle was towed from the scene.
