Disorderly Conduct, Drug Possession, and More: Needham Police Log

The following is from the Needham Police Log. Arrests and charges mentioned do not imply conviction.

March 14

4:15 p.m. - An officer was dispatched to a Beaufort Avenue address for a report of identity theft. The reporting party stated that in December of 2015, an unknown party had filed a false tax return using her husband's social security number. The reporting was advised to contact the IRS and her bank.

11:15 p.m. - An officer pulled a vehicle over for speeding on Highland Avenue. While talking with the operator the officer observed a 30 pack of beer in the vehicle. The occupants were all under 21 years old. The operator, a 19-year-old Needham resident will be summoned to court for transporting alcohol and possession of a Class E drug. The passengers, both 18-year-old Needham residents, will be summoned to court for minor in possession of alcohol.

8:30 a.m. - An officer stopped a vehicle for a traffic violation. The Regiane Da Silva, 37, of Brighton, was placed under arrest for an active warrant out of Brighton District Court. Da Silva was also issued a citation for the traffic light violation.

12:30 p.m. - An Officer responded to a Fisher Street address for a report of possible fraud. The reporting party stated that two fraudulent debits had taken place at an account she held at a local bank. The victim was provided with information regarding identity fraud and a report documenting the fraud was taken. Elder Services was contacted to conduct a check on the resident.

March 17

10:00 a.m. - An officer responded to a Rosemary Way address for a report of a dispute between a landlord and their tenant. All parties were spoken with and agreed to pursue the matter civilly through the courts. The landlord left without incident.

11:30 a.m. - An officer responded to a disturbance at Wingate at Needham on Highland Ave. Ruan Salameh, 29, of Boston, was arrested and charged with disorderly conduct for purposefully causing public alarm with her agitated and tumultuous behavior in front of staff, residents, children, teachers, and families at the Wingate. She was warned by officers several times to stop her behavior and was confrontational and non-compliant. The staff at Wingate requested that Ms. Salameh be no-trespassed and she was verbally advised that she was not to return.

Officers responded to a Greendale Ave address for a report of a dog that had been struck by a car. The party who hit the dog stopped and identified themselves. The dog was transported by the Animal Control Officer to Highland Animal Hospital in Needham and then to Angel Memorial Hospital in Jamaica Plain.
