Dog Killed by Pellet Gun, Police Investigating
Needham Police, MSPCA and Environmental Police are looking into the matter.
Needham Police are reporting that they are investigating a report of a dog that was killed on Sept. 12.
A Grove Street resident originally reported at 8 p.m. that night, according to a Needham PD statement, that the dog had been killed earlier by an unknown object. The dog, an Italian greyhound, was later brought to a veterinarian office, who discovered that the animal was killed by a pellet.
The matter is currently under investigation by Needham Police, the MSPCA and the Massachusetts Environmental Police.

"We are not commenting further on the details of this investigation at this time," Brian Adams of the MSPCA told Needham Patch.
