Utility Pole Issue Closes Highland Avenue Near Newton

NEEDHAM, MA — Drivers heading into Newton will have to find an alternative route if they plan on taking Highland Avenue.

The Needham Police Department announced at noon that traffic from the northbound side of the road is being detoured onto 2nd Ave due to a utility pole hazzard on Needham Street in Newton. Drivers are advised to seek alternate routes and avoid the area.
