Drug Possession, Theft, and More: Needham Police Log

April 24
An employee of an Oak Street business reported that someone had taken some items from her bag while she was at work. Needham police are investigating.
3:00 p.m. - an Officer was dispatched to a Hillcrest Road address for a report of a past larceny of sports equipment meant as a donation. The sports equipment was left next to the roadway and was intended to be picked up by a charity. However upon the homeowners arrival she discovered that the equipment was missing.

A resident of Linden Street reported someone had stolen four tires from his backyard shed. Needham Police are investigating.
7:30 p.m. - Officers responded to a female party asleep in her vehicle in the Memorial Park Parking Lot. Subsequently, a 24-year*old Brockton woman will be summoned to court for possession of Class A substance.

8:28 p.m. - An officer responded to a West Street address for a report of neighbor trouble. One neighbor reported that another had broken a glass in a common hallway. It was not possible to determine where the glass came from.
April 25
A Needham High School student reported that her car was damaged in the lot. The school and police departments are looking into the matter.
1:41 p.m. - An officer responded to a Webster Street address for a residential break-in. Some carpentry tools were stolen. The matter is under investigation.
9:21 p.m. - An officer responded to a 1st Avenue address for a report of an intoxicated party. As a result of the ensuing investigation a 39-year-old Newton man was placed into protective custody without incident.
