From their beautiful tributes to The Big Apple, the Mills Brothers, the songs of WWII and The Rat Pack, to musical impersonations of some of America's most beloved entertainers, three national recording artists have combined their vocal and theatrical talents to create a performance that will excite and entertain audiences of all ages. 3 Swingin' Tenors promises the best of the Great American Songbook together with their own delivery of warmth, humor and an evening filled with memories.

JACK ALESSI
Originally from the Boston area, Jack began his musical career as a drummer in the early sixties working with his father, guitarist, Don Alessi. During the late sixties and early seventies Jack landed the coveted spot of M.C. at the Famous Monticello Night Club in Framingham, MA. Jack has performed with and opened for Tony Bennett, Vicki Carr, Jerry Lewis, Louis Armstrong, Jimmy Durante, The Mills Brothers and many others. He has been the featured vocalist and toured with such big bands as Tommy Dorsey, Glen Miller, and Stan Kenton. It was Jack Alessi's concept of the "3 Swinging Tenors" that brought this trio together.

STEVE MARVIN
Steve, originally from the Roxbury area of Boston, started out also as a drummer and studied at the Berklee School of Music. With roots as an R&B singer, he was the drummer/vocalist with Boston boyhood friends the "GClefs". Steve is comfortable performing jazz, blues and cabaret. He has performed internationally including the Blue Note ,Paris; La Pepistrano, Rome; Bodegatron Jazz Club, Tel Aviv; and the Jazz Cafe, Barcelona. Most recently, Steve has been performing a series of Concerts celebrating the music of Frank Sinatra, including performances at Town Hall and Lincoln Center in New York City.


JIM PORCELLA
Jim grew up in Medford, MA, and started playing drums at the age of fourteen. While attending The Berklee School of Music in Boston he began performing around the New England area. He began a jazz vocal career and has recorded seven critically acclaimed CDs performed in jazz and cabaret settings in the Northeast, London, San Francisco, The Virgin Islands and Vancouver. Jim was also the featured vocalist at Boston's Ritz Carlton and Boston's prestigious Bay Tower Room. He has been the featured vocalist with the Artie Shaw Orchestra, and is the leader of the swing band Bombay Jim and the Swinging Sapphires, as well as the lead vocalist in PrimaVera!, a tribute show to the music of Louis Prima and Keely Smith.
