Join North Hill and Olin College in celebrating the launch of Retirement on the Line (http://retirementontheline.net/events/)
In an era when people live longer and want (or need) to work past the traditional retirement age, the Vita Needle Company of Needham provides inspiration and important lessons about the value of older workers. As part of its unusual business model, the company seeks out older workers; the median age of the employees is seventy-four and the eldest worker is 100. Professor Caitrin Lynch explores what this unusual company’s commitment to an older workforce means for the employer, the workers and the community. This book launch event will give you the chance to hear Professor Lynch introduce the book and interview some of the workers from Vita Needle. Participants will also have the opportunity to purchase the book and have it signed by the author. Free and open to the public. RSVPs requested but not required. To RSVP, call True North Courses & Events at 781 433 6400 – or- email: RSVP@NorthHill.org
