
Social worker Karen Wasserman will discuss the complicated medical, emotional and logistical concerns regarding aging at a talk on “Caring For Your Aging Parents” on Sunday, Jan. 22 at 10 a.m. at , 1664 Central Ave.
Wasserman has worked with elders and their families for the past 23 years. She has worked at the West Suburban Area Agency on Aging; as director of social services at the former Mediplex of Newton, a local nursing and rehabilitation center; and at Beth Israel-Deaconess Medical Center.
In 1999, she started the Geriatric Care Management program at Jewish Family & Children’s Service and has managed its growth into one of the Boston area’s leading care management practices.
