Community-Wide Energy Fair

Want to make your home and your life more environmentally friendly? Learn how at Temple Aliyah's community-wide Energy Fair on Sunday, Jan. 9 from 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.

A fun and educational event for the whole family, the fair will feature:

  • Exhibits and demonstrations from local businesses and organizations on all aspects of clean energy and green living, from solar panels to pesticide-free lawn care to energy efficient appliances.
  • A panel discussion moderated by Green Needham on energy audits; making your home greener and more energy-efficient in large and small ways; and tax incentives and rebates for improving energy efficiency.
  • A presentation by MassPIRG on its new transportation initiative as well as how to support and promote green ventures through the political process.
  • A children's game show on energy conservation and safety, created by NStar and led by actors from Radio Disney, followed by an interactive workshop and scavenger hunt.

The fair, to be held at the Temple, 1664 Central Ave., Needham, is free of charge and open to the public.
