Robert Bendt has been developing a series of subtropical landscape paintings since 1996. He has focused his attention primarily on his fascination with the sense and reality of the subtropical forest of the gulf and coast of Florida. He is attempting to capture the mystique and the beauty of what is seen and what is felt.
Bendt was trained at the Rhode Island School of Design. He has exhibited his work at museums, universities and galleries throughout the United States. He maintains two studios, one in St James City, Florida and one in Sharon, Massachusetts.
