Needham Community Theatre will present its fall production, "Nunsense," on Nov. 18-20 and Nov. 26-27 at the Presybterian Church, 1458 Great Plain Ave.
Below is a synopsis of the play from www.needhamtheatre.org:
"Sister Julia, Child of God, has accidentally poisoned 52 of the Little Sisters of Hoboken, so it’s up to the survivors to raise funds for their burials by putting on a variety show in the school auditorium. Enter the performing Sisters: Reverend Mother Regina, a former circus performer; Sister Mary Hubert, the Mistress of Novices; a streetwise nun from Brooklyn named Sister Robert Anne; Sister Mary Leo, a novice and wannabe ballerina; and the delightfully wacky Sister Mary Amnesia, who lost her memory when a crucifix fell on her head.
Join the Sisters for singing, dancing, an audience quiz and lots of comic surprises, and see why "Nunsense" is the second-longest running off-Broadway show in history."
