Needham Interfaith Concert

Brahms, Bells & Beyond

The Needham Interfaith Choir will present its spring concert at 4:00PM on Sunday March 4 in the sanctuary of Carter Memorial United Methodist Church, 800 Highland Ave. The concert will feature the Motet Opus 29 No 2 by Johannes Brahms and  “Songs of Faith” a multi-movement work by contemporary composer Paul Basler as well as other contemporary selections. Featured in the concert will be a hand bell choir made up of 22 bell ringers from Needham. The Interfaith Choir established in 1989 and is made up of the choirs from the various houses of worship and other singers from the community. The choir presents a major work of sacred music each year. This year the choirs will be under the direction of Dr. Mildred Beane, choir director of Carter Memorial United Methodist Church and will be free to the public. An offering will be taken and a reception will follow the performance.
