Needham Open Studios Tour

The 12th annual Needham Open Studios Tour will be held on Saturday, May 1 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and on Sunday, May 2 from Noon to 4 p.m. Once again local artists welcome the public into their homes and studios. This year over 50 artists will be showing their paintings, pottery, printmaking, jewelry, leatherwork, origami, sculpture, photography, mosaics, glassblowing, decorative objects and more in over 20 locations around Needham.

This event is an opportunity to meet the many creative artists living and working in Needham. Take the tour around town, visit the artists in their studios, see how they create their art, ask about the creative process and find unique hand-made treasures.

In conjunction with the tour, there are several gallery shows. The Needham Library exhibits the works of the Open Studios Artists for the month of April and through the tour weekend. The Art Emporium Gallery on Chestnut Street hosts the Needham Art Association's Spring Show for the month of April and through the tour weekend. The Gorse Mill Studios on Thorpe Road features the work of resident artists.
