NHS Junior Parents' Night

For parents and teens alike, the transition from high school to life beyond, whether it's college, a "gap year" or the working world, can be filled with anticipation and challenges. The Guidance Department can help parents and students navigate this process with a number of resources.

Coming up on Wednesday, Feb. 15, the department will host a meeting for parents to specifically discuss the college admission process. The meeting will be held from 7:00-8:30 p.m. in the high school auditorium. Snow date is Wednesday, Feb. 29.

In addition, two evening seminars will help parents focus in more detail on specific aspects of the college search and application process:

On Wednesday, March 28, parents of NHS juniors are invited to hear a presentation on college visits, tours and interviews led by Jennifer Desjarlais, dean of admissions and financial aid for Wellesley College.

On Wednesday, April 25, parents are invited to hear more about applying for financial aid, with presenter Kendra Lider-Johnson of the Mass. Educational Financing Authority.
