The Needham Art Association will be meeting at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, February 1 in Needham. Artist, Michael Milburn will be there to give a watercolor painting demonstration.
Milburn has been drawing and painting for over 25 years and studying Japanese calligraphy since 1999. He has studied at the Museum School of Fine Art and the Kaji Aso Studio in Boston and has also traveled and studied art in Japan.
He is president of the Newton Watercolor Society, a member of the Newton Art Association, and he teaches watercolor and Japanese calligraphy at the New Art Center in Newton.

Milburn has always been drawn to the translucency and immediacy of watercolor and he has integrated an Asian aesthetic into his work. He draws on Nature for his inspiration.
The meeting and art demo will take place in the Community Room in the Needham Public Library at 1139 Highland Avenue. It is wheelchair accessible. The event is free and the public is invited to attend. The Needham Art Association enriches Needham by exhibiting over 500 paintings in town locations every year. It welcomes new members.
